heaven! asbalootly...
"ah!!! when u go inside the campus the next day, you will be surprised!! u will wonder if u are in the campus or some other wonderland!!! evvvvrything was done by the students, by the students and ONNNLY by the students!!! u will be amazed!! "
:D :D dear campus-cleaners-on-thursday (10/11/08) , does the above comment/praise ring a bell???
peace and quiet!!
spic and span it is... serene calm surroundings.. a truly knowledge-enriching ambience. the task of imparting erudition has been accomplished!!! by teaching us to sweep, swab, wipe, pull out grass out of poromboke land , shovel out the kuppai and what not.......... CAMPUS CLEANING "CAMPAIGN" :D
a pure place, with all the rubbish mucked out. where the elements of contamination have shrivelled,.. a whole new area with even clean ditches. THEY did it all..
Bah! every person associated with the campaign must be proud of the lovely atmosphere they have recreated.. a whole new place with our erudite beacons beckoning us to gently pick up a leaf (that floated in the air and fell grandly on the ground as a result of abscission) to turn the ground impeccably CLEAN... "see, see, the leaves are falling, don't make me answerable to anyone" .. okayy... so?
they bickered for the 6 brooms .. we had to share the brooms amongst ourselves and we had pristine white aromatic gloves and "baands" ( i still dunno if that word is right ..never heard of it... we called it the "paathram")... and big drums to fill the dirt with !!
the cricket ground had us singing and making merry, pulling each others' legs (that half an hour was the real fun) .. we were quite a sight..
we made a few discoveries.. we found half a dead fish that i almost puked at , a "suicide" rope that seemed endless as we extracted it from the ground, asbestos sheets that gave away when you walked on them, "pits" to collect rain-water which i initially assumed was a compost-pit.. :| some slimy earthworms wriggling on the earthworm-lover's (the BRU girl) glove.. also we hit upon the jackpot... a simply stupendous and rare collection of insects, creepy-crawlies :) ... screeches, yells, shrieks.... and barks( the dogs of course) !!! what a cacophony!! the dogs that were happily prancing about yelped when one of us accidentally swept some dust onto their faces. they looked as grimy and shabby as us :|
there we were, totally exhausted at the humongous amount of work done for THE day.. all of us sat like dirt balls, staring at each others' grubby faces.
hey we got a huge treat for the HELP we rendered selflessly!! a minuscule cup of vanilla ice-cream that i could deftly fit into my palm. cartons of cream arrived after a time delay of one hour while half of us were restlessly waiting to rush home to shut ourselves in a warm bath.
and all i did was... run up to the water cooler to fill up bottles and bottles of water and sped back to the ground to find my ever-so-dutiful classmates swarming around me for the elixir of life.... whoa!! water was in more demand than the ice cream .
"thavicha vaai ku thanneer kuduthen" :) :)
i am a true aquarian---- the water-bearer :)
semma punch le??? :D

@ supriya: :| rombo clean pannitingalo... the whole campus will go back to its royal unclean state in 2 days... they might have as well given us the day off :P...
ah.. thank u for the mention u made abt kr.
@shameem: i wudnt say i am euphemistic, i certainly do not appreciate it.. nor is it something even worthy of being despised..

@sharan : yeah :D
Well ITZ MSEC AND IT WILL NEVER CHANGE. Ur parents would have been better off if only u ppl could do this at ur homes too. Poor moms. The one thing i like in this issue is it makes ppl who had never picked the brooms in their life.. And u pay 55k+ for doin it, when actually u should be paid. U can call it service. U can call it training. I call it height of foolishness and inability. Man i will never forget my experiences. And it jus fills me with disgust.
